World’s Leading Protection specialist D3O launches new product at EICMA

All-new D3O® Viper Air back protector breaks cover in Milan at the International Motorcycle and Accessories Exhibition

The D3O® Viper back protector has been a bestselling product in the motorcycle protection market for over 10 years, and now protection specialist D3O has taken this go-to product that provides comfort and protection at all levels and created the all new D3O® Viper Air.

The new Viper Air range is the lightest, most comfortable, and breathable back protector ever developed by D3O – with no compromise on protection. Utilising the unique properties of the D3O® material, which sees the molecules “lock” in the event of an impact, the new Viper Air takes all the benefits of the Viper range and adds to it with enhanced thermal regulation (up to 4.5x more ventilation), whilst its new wave geometry makes it 22% lighter.

If you can feel your armour, then it’s not working for you. Riders want to be safe, but not feel pressure points or bulk. The Viper Air is designed to enable riders to ride freely with no distractions while riding.

The Viper Air range will be available in retailers, via jackets and as aftermarket parts, from Spring 2024 and is made up of the Viper Air L1, Viper Air L2 and Viper Air Central L1, which are available in six sizes, four sizes and one size respectively. All three products carry CE certification:

Viper Air L1: Level 1 – passes ambient, wet and optional cold (-10C) conditions

Viper Air L2: Level 2 – comfortably passes ambient and wet conditions

Viper Air Central L1: Level 1 – passes ambient, wet and optional cold (-10C) conditions
